Although it may not feel like it at the time, a creative rut is a normal process that happens to most of us. The trick is how we deal with the issue when confronted with a creative block. It's tempting to distract yourself from the problem and just procrastinate it, BUT that won't help your creative potential long term. All of us have the ability to be creative geniuses if we dedicate time to exercising this muscle. I’m the first person to tell you that creativity cannot be forced, but that shouldn’t be an excuse to avoid escaping your stumped situation. Creativity is a muscle that must be used and exercised in order to be inspired easily.

Remember – be patient with yourself while not losing sight of your goal. Creating something usually takes a lot of time until you’re finally satisfied with your work. Understand that, take a breather and then get back at it and just do something, anything. By doing the action to get the ball rolling will really help inspire you.
